EVER FOUND YOURSELF THE NIGHT BEFORE AN EXAM WITH VERY LITTLE STUDY HAVING BEEN DONE DUE TO A VERY BUSY SCHEDULE (READ PROCRASTINATION)? NOT TO WORRY, HERE ARE A FEW IDEAS THAT WILL HELP TAKE THE STRESS OUT OF EXAMS FOR YOU LAST MINUTE CRAMMERS

Make good notes
- Try and summarise all of the key topics in the shortest possible way and don’t try and learn definitions by heart – try to figure out your own examples to define your answer.
- If your lecturer holds a review session make sure you go- you can usually get an idea of what will be in the exam from what is discussed in this session.
Study Effectively & Efficiently
- If you don’t have time to go over everything you have learnt during the semester just focus on the key topics that have been covered.
- Identify the most important or repeated topics in the text book or in your lecture slideso Create flash cards and test yourself.
- If your course has previous or practice exams available do those – sometimes the questions will be similar in your exam.
Don’t skip out on sleep
- As easy as it is to do an all-nighter make sure you get enough sleep the night before an exam
- If you feel like you haven’t studied enough get to the exam an hour early and go over your notes so they are fresh in your mind
p/s: However, to cram for an exam is always a not good idea. When you study last minute, you can be panic which can lead to other problems. So, better study early, bit by bit, even a little. Study early and consistently even if you study not much, when exam comes, you would cover most of what you have learned.
