Discounts and ways to save - Applicable to Brisbanites only


Public transport is a convenient and cost effective way to travel around South East Queensland.
Understanding the discounts available to you for travel on public transport will help you to maximise your savings.

go card

Using a go card is 30% cheaper than the cost of a single paper ticket.

go card off-peak discount

go card users get a 15% discount when travelling off-peak (between 9am and 3.30pm and after 7pm on weekdays, and all weekend and on public holidays).

go card frequent user discount

Get a 50% discount on every journey after your 10th journey in a seven day period from Monday to Sunday.

Senior and pensioner concession travel - 1, 2, Free

Customers who use a Seniors Card +go, a senior go card or a green pensioner concession go card for two journeys on the same day will travel for free on their go card for the rest of that day.

Concession fares

Concession fares are 50% cheaper than adult fares and apply to children, students, pensioners, seniors and defence force veterans.
Children under 5 travel free.

Free event travel

You can travel free with TransLink to selected events*.
Check the event transport calendar to find out if a scheduled event has free travel, or contact the event coordinator direct. In some cases, combined entry/travel tickets may be available from attended Queensland Rail stations; otherwise simply present your eligible event ticket to public transport staff when requested.
* Travel free applies only to events at Suncorp Stadium, The Gabba, Skilled Park, the Tennyson Tennis Centre, the Queensland Sports and Athletic Centre and the Gold Coast motor events. Read more about combined travel and entry tickets.
